At the Teaford-Clarks household in Valencia, we find one of our
young heroes petting the larger of the two cats, the noble Ajax.
William teaches Carlos how to crochet.
But Carlos is too busy lugging around huge kitties.
I love kitties.
Oh, you go, tiger.
Bonnie, Becky, Paulina, Sally, Leslie, and William hover precariously
close to the kitchen.
Bonnie, Ted, Andy, Paulina, Nellie, Leslie, and Becky all help to
cook.
Paulina, Nellie, and Leslie make the famous Three Twit Buns.
Carlos reads his magazine.
A display of all the fine pies and pastries available for us to
eat.
Precious is hungry!
The place setting looks awesome this year (leaves imported from
Illinois).
Yum, Thanksgiving food!
Carlos is working steadily on that hunk of leg.
Ted gets up to serve more wine to the adults as William keeps going.
And our young hero is cashed in before William can even get to second
helpings.
The next evening, Leslie, Paulina, and I go to see Harry Potter.
There are polar bears in the fountain!
Later, Clarks and Boonmans alike go to the Ventura State Beach,
a childhood favorite of everyone.
Paulina and I constructed a shade stick hutch. I swear, I can fit
in there -- we dug a hole and everything. Then we put towels on
top, but as it turns out, we made the hole facing the sun, so it
was more just of like... a stick hutch... without the shade.
After a good long day at the beach, it is time to go back to our
lodgings at the ever-hospitable Clark house.
